Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Murphy is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He has a special clinical interest in the care and rehabilitation of injured athletes of all ages. His surgical expertise includes arthroscopy, joint reconstruction and orthopaedic trauma. Dr. Murphy is currently an assistant team physician for the Portland Timbers professional soccer team, and provides orthopaedic care at the Nike Sports Medicine Clinic. He also provides orthopaedic support for several local high schools. For recreation Dr. Murphy enjoys travel, golf and snowboarding. His wife, Laura, is a pediatrician and they have three children.
