I was fortunate. Even though I began care somewhere else and went through a period of uncertainty and pain that went on too long, I have a firefighter husband who was able to tap into his organization of 400+ adrenaline-junkie (and therefore injury-prone) firefighter colleagues to inquire which shoulder surgeon they’d given the most positive praise: Dr. Edelson.
I’m so thankful for my experience with Dr. Edelson that I also want to share, so you have access to this information, too.
Dr. Edelson found not only the source of a current injury, but an underlying aggravating problem that went 5 years undetected from an auto accident. He showed up patient and respectful with every question I had. Answered every one even if they were repeats (his staff, too!) because memory isn’t the sharpest between appointments when one is struggling.
Central for my life dreams; he didn’t bat an eye when I shared I’d been preparing for a 5 week bike trip from Banff, Canada to Wyoming when I became injured and that I had tickets to visit my son overseas immediately after the planned bike ride. He just worked as hard as I did toward my goals and after the surgery provided guidance on a recovery physical therapy plan that helped me attain them. I had the best summer of my life (thank you Dr. Edelson and staff for helping me get everywhere I wanted to go!). And now I wish other patients all the best as you work toward your own post-surgery goals!

The staff is knowledgeable and professional. They listen to your concerns and curate testing, care and treatment. They don't sugar coat your prognosis and explain escalating steps/treatment to alleviate your injury. *

Dr Beals and his assistants did an excellent job replacing my right knee. The procedure went far better than I expected after having prior input from friends who had their knees replaced. I’m not dreading having my left knee replaced now. It has been a totally professional experience having my right knee replaced!*

Greenleaf was the first doctor to detect, diagnose, and treat the joint problem that caused my kneecaps to dislocate. I underwent two major surgeries on my tibia to strengthen the tendons and realign my legs. He truly changed my life and I cannot express how grateful I am for his skill and care. His team is also full of dedicated people that further contributed to my comfort during recoveries.*
